Ramya Swaminathan

Ramya Swaminathan is the CEO of Malta Inc., a company developing energy storage systems that use molten salts and antifreeze liquid to store power for longer periods of time than lithium-ion batteries. Swaminathan joined Malta in 2018 after serving as the CEO of Rye Development, a low-impact hydropower developer that electrifies existing non-powered dams. Earlier in her career she was the chief operating officer of Free Flow Power Corporation, another hydroelectric power developer, and a banker at UBS. Outside of Malta, Swaminathan serves as an ambassador at C3E, a group that advocates for women in clean energy.
