Ramya Swaminathan

Ramya Swaminathan has a ~30 years of experience in the energy industry, with varied experience in capital markets to commodities trades to project development, regulatory process management, project finance to technology commercialization. She has successfully founded two companies and raised ~$200 mm in capital from venture and private equity funds as well as strategic investors. Most recently, she led the spin-out of Malta Inc. from Google X and served as its CEO for 6 years, during which time she raised more than $100 million, developed strategic partnerships for Malta with blue-chip industrial companies, and announced its first commercial offtake agreement. She currently serves as Board Member and Senior Advisor to Malta. She also serves as a C3E Ambassador for the Department of Energy, the Advisory Board of National Grid New England, and on the DoE's Electricity Advisory Committee.
