Recruiter and HR Coordinator
Katie Sanabria is a recruiter and human resources professional at Resources for the Future. In her role at RFF, she oversees all recruiting, from seasonal interns to senior fellows. She handles all day-to-day human resources challenges, provides general human resources support for the organization, and effectively interprets human resources policies and procedures to staff to ensure efficiency and compliance.
Prior to joining RFF, Sanabria was a permanent nonprofit recruiter with Careers in Nonprofits, a nonprofit recruiting firm in Washington, DC, specializing in development and executive searches. There, she worked with hundreds of nonprofit and mission-driven organizations within the DC market to fulfill their business needs through permanent staffing solutions. With over eight years of experience in HR and recruiting, she specializes in recruiting engineers, executives, scientists, cleared professionals, and business development leaders specifically for nonprofit organizations, government agencies, and the Department of Defense. She is currently studying for her PHR certification.
