JunJie Wu

University Fellow

JunJie Wu is a professor in the Department of Applied Economics at Oregon State University. He holds the Emery N. Castle Chair in resource and rural economics and directs the Center for Agricultural and Environmental Policy at OSU. He also served as an Editor of the American Journal of Agricultural Economics and as the Project Director of the OSU-UC Davis Partnership for Agricultural Policy Research.

JunJie’s research extends to several fields in economics, including resource and environmental economics, agricultural economics, and regional science and urban economics. A central theme of his research focuses on the effect of agricultural and environmental policy on consumer and producer behavior and the resulting impact on the efficiency of policy.

He has received several awards for quality research, including the Quality of Research Discovery Award from the Agricultural and Applied Economics Association and the Outstanding Published Research Award (three times) from the Western Agricultural Economics Association. He was elected as a Fellow of the Agricultural and Applied Economics Association in 2016.
