EPA's power plant climate rule would accelerate greenhouse gas emissions reductions from the power sector by pushing coal retirements with “relatively small costs,” according to a new analysis published on Thursday in the journal Science...

Researchers from the Electric Power Research Institute, Resources for the Future, Rhodium Group and several national laboratories, universities, and environmental groups, compared nine models that predicted the rule's impact through 2040 in what they say is “the most detailed modeling to date.”
