In a year-in-review story, RFF President and CEO Richard Newell is quoted in a segment about the significance of the Inflation Reduction Act.
Signed into law in August, the IRA invested $369 billion in clean energy projects and incentives for energy-efficient technology such as electric vehicles.
“This is the most consequential piece of U.S. legislation for the climate ever,” Richard Newell, chief executive of Resources for the Future, a nonprofit energy research organization, told National Geographic writer Craig Welch at the time.
