Big Decisions 2024
RFF's annual event exploring big decisions in climate, energy, and the environment in the year ahead
Event Details
As we turn to a new year, there will be a number of critical climate and environmental decisions made at all levels of government. These decisions—many of which will lead to our goals of designing net-zero emissions strategies, reducing risk, and building resilient communities—take place alongside a backdrop of one of next year's biggest decisions: the 2024 Elections. Undoubtedly, such a consequential election year raises the stakes for our planning and strategies in 2024 and beyond.
At Resources for the Future’s annual Big Decisions event, we hosted government officials, climate and environmental economics experts, and journalists to unpack some of the biggest policy decisions we expect in this election year.
On Wednesday, January 24 we heard from these thought leaders on 2024’s big decisions, including upcoming opportunities and challenges with the implementation of the historic Inflation Reduction Act, congressional and federal regulatory activities, and how looming federal court decisions may change decisionmaking into the future.
